Wet ground tells you everything

Wet ground tells you everything. Around Chester, Ellesmere Port, and out towards Delamere Forest, the soil moves. It swells in winter and shrinks back come summer. That is why foundations matter more here than most places would have you believe.

We have been doing this long enough to know that a building job done right starts below ground level. Groundworks and foundations are where corners get cut quietly. We do not cut them.

What we build

Residential extensions are the bread and butter of what we take on. The range is wider than most people realise:

We also handle loft conversions, garage conversions, and structural alterations where walls come out and beams go in. Done a fair few new garage builds too, usually for people who want a proper block-built structure rather than a tin shed that rattles every time the wind picks up.

The day-to-day work

New builds, brickwork, blockwork, plastering, rendering, general maintenance. That is the shape of the week most weeks. (The maintenance side is quiet work, but it keeps houses standing properly for another twenty years.) Some of it is unglamorous. All of it matters.

We use proper materials. Facing brick, dense aggregate block, sand and cement render, the kind of stuff that handles a Cheshire winter without cracking out by February.
