A bit of background

A customer once asked me to quote a new garage alongside a full rear extension. I turned up expecting a straightforward morning and ended up spending three hours just talking through the foundations. That kind of job teaches you to listen before you measure.

We have been building across Hythe and the surrounding area for years, and the work ranges from modest repairs right through to full new builds. Folkestone, Sandgate, Lympne, those are the places we know well, the ground conditions, the older stock, the way the weather comes in off the coast.

How we work

We are not the biggest firm on the patch, and I will not pretend otherwise (we are a tight team who prefer doing the job right over doing three jobs at once). Every project gets a proper site visit before anything is priced.

We work with clients directly from the first call through to the final snag. Groundworks get the same attention as the finish coat of render, because problems buried under a slab have a way of showing themselves eventually.

Why it matters where you build

Coastal areas like this one carry their own demands. Moisture, older brick bonds, chalk and clay ground depending on where exactly you are sitting. We factor all of that in from the start, which saves a lot of trouble later on.
