Cracked surface. Weeds pushing through. Water sitting where it shouldn’t. We see it every week across Wirral and the villages around Heswall, Neston, and Bebington. A driveway that’s failing doesn’t fix itself, and patching over the problem rarely holds.

We’re based in Thornton Hough, Cheshire, and we lay and repair driveways for a living. That’s the whole job. We know the ground conditions here, we know what lasts, and we don’t dress it up.

One job we did recently ran a resin bound drive straight into a sandstone patio off the back of the drive, same edging detail throughout. It finished the whole plot off properly. That kind of joined-up thinking is what we bring to every project.

Surface choices worth knowing

Resin bound has become popular for a reason. Permeable, low maintenance, and it doesn’t shift. Block paving gives you the flexibility to lift and relay if you need drainage access later. Tarmac is quick, durable, and honest about what it is. But the surface is only as good as the base beneath it, and that’s where corners get cut by people who shouldn’t be cutting them.

We don’t do that. The sub-base is done right or the job doesn’t go down.
