Halstead Patios
Halstead Patios
Groundwork first, always
From the moment we break ground on a patio, the base is where we put our attention. We compact in layers, building up the sub-base properly so the finished surface stays level and stable for years. Skipping that step is where corners get cut, and we don’t cut corners.
What we lay and build
We work across the full range of outdoor surfaces and structures. Here’s what we cover day to day:
- Porcelain tiled patios
- Indian sandstone and natural stone paving
- Concrete flagstone installations
- Block paving and garden paths
- Garden walling
- Timber fencing installations
- Roll-on turf and artificial grass lawns
Materials we actually work with
With porcelain, you need the right adhesive and the right substrate (and yes, that matters more than most people realise before they’ve seen a frost lift a tile). Sandstone needs sealing done properly. Concrete flags need the falls set right from the off or you end up with pooling water. We know this because we deal with it on sites across CO9 and the surrounding postcodes week in, week out.
Where we work
We’re based in Halstead, Essex, and we cover the local area and surrounding villages. We source materials locally where we can, including through the yard near the Causeway industrial area in Halstead, which keeps lead times tight and waste down.
Fencing and lawns too
Not every job is paving. We put up timber fencing that actually sits plumb. We lay turf that drains properly because we prepare the ground before it goes down. Artificial grass is the same, honestly it comes down to what’s underneath it as much as anything else.
