What materials do you work with?

Over the years, working across Essex, we have learned that ground conditions here vary more than most people expect. Estuarine silt beneath a garden in this part of the county will move if the sub-base is not prepared correctly. That preparation is where we spend the most time, honestly, because what you see on top is only as good as what sits underneath it.

We work with a wide range of materials, including:

Do you do anything beyond paving?

We do. A lot of our customers come to us for a full garden makeover, not just the patio itself. We install timber fencing, build garden walling, and we lay both roll-on turf and artificial grass. Can you do all of that in one visit? No, a proper job takes the time it takes, and we would rather be honest about that than rush it.

What about upkeep once the work is done?

Routine maintenance is something we always talk through with customers before we leave the site. Porcelain in particular needs the right cleaning products, and pointing on natural stone should be checked after the first winter. A quick annual look at the surface and the drainage channels keeps a patio looking good for years. It is not complicated, (look, ten minutes twice a year is all it usually takes) but people often skip it and then wonder why the surface deteriorates.
