Porcelain in particular needs a firm, well-prepared bed. We see a lot of remedial work come our way, from patios laid too thin or without the correct adhesive, customers who went with whoever was cheapest. We are not the cheapest, but we are the ones you call once.

I remember a job where the customer had moved down from D6 and wanted something close to what they had back there, a clean, wide-format porcelain finish with sandstone edging. We got it done inside a week, start to finish.
