How We Actually Build

Before a single slab goes down, the base has to be right. We compact in layers, building up the sub-base properly with the correct depth of hardcore and sharp sand. Skip that stage and the patio moves. We have seen plenty of jobs from other contractors (some of them local enough to know better) that failed purely because the preparation was rushed.

We get materials through Kiltipper Stone and Builders Providers when we need reliable supply on volume work. Knowing your yard matters on bigger jobs.

Renovations and New Builds

Older gardens in this area often have cracked concrete or sunken slabs with drainage going the wrong direction. We assess what is worth keeping and what needs to come out. Not every job needs a full strip-out. However, a lot of them do, and we will tell you straight rather than patch over a problem.

New builds are clean to plan. Renovation work is where the real judgement calls happen.
