Repairs and re-alignment

Out of all the calls we get, a surprising number come down to one thing: fall. A gutter that looks fine from the ground is pooling water at the back because the bracket spacing is wrong. We re-space, re-pitch, and re-seal before we ever consider a full replacement.

How we fix things properly

On a lot of jobs, particularly on older properties around the north Dublin coastal strip, we use a concealed gutter bracket fixing system. It keeps the fascia face clean and holds the gutter securely without exposed screw heads working loose over a season or two. Worth doing right the first time.

The same attention goes into soffit and fascia work. Poorly ventilated soffits cause problems you won’t see coming until the damage is done (and by then it’s never a cheap fix). We size the ventilation correctly for the roof space above.

Q: How long should I expect a full gutter replacement to take on a standard semi-detached house?

A: Most semi-detached properties are done in a single day. A larger detached house with complex rooflines may run to two days, however we’ll always give you a clear timeframe before we start.
