Converting garages is something we get called out for a lot. Most people underestimate what is involved structurally, we sort it properly, insulation, lintels, drainage where it is needed, the full job.

We work with standard and engineering brick, concrete block, sand and cement render, insulated plasterboard systems. The materials suit the build, not whatever is cheapest on the day.

Foundations are where most problems start. Poor ground preparation, inadequate depth, wrong mix. We get that right before anything goes up. It is not glamorous work, but it matters more than anything else on site.

Loft conversions are another area where we see a lot of corners cut by others. Structural calculations, ridge height, the staircase run. We take the time to plan it before a single rafter is touched.
